The following slide show features 40 photos from the Rocky Mountain National Park area. The pictures are from a week in early July that included primarily hot, dry days with an occasional cool, cloudy day. Following a heavy snow season earlier in the year, the wildflowers in the park were vibrant and abundant, and wildlife was busy feeding on the growing plants. All were bathing in warm summer sunshine and making the most of the short alpine growing season.
