The following slide show features 32 photos from late December 2007 in the Estes Park and R.M.N.P. area. Although cold, snowy and windy conditions prevailed most of the week, I was able to get some brief clear views of the high peaks. Views with snow blowing or clouds hanging over the peaks were more common, and made for some interesting photographic challenges. This slide show includes a few samples from my December 25th hike to Gem Lake in a snowstorm, and my December 26th snowshoe hike to Eagle Cliff Mountain's summit. The highlights of the week were the sunrises and sunsets, with their dazzling colors and light.
