The end of September, 2009 came with an opportunity for us to explore central Colorado during the peak fall colors. We planned out a nine day tour that included stops from Snowmass Village to Marble to Twin Lakes, with many wilderness areas and historic sites along the way. We experienced the full spectrum: colorful valleys and barren tundra, modern towns and historic sites, cloudless afternoons and snowy mornings, silent overlooks and vibrant forests. This 64 image gallery celebrates the great moments we experienced in the autumn splendor.
